North Devon & Cornwall Coastal Explorer – September Special

Join us on this wonderful trip to explore the spectacular coast of north Devon & Cornwall along with some of it’s most special places.
Early September is arguably the best time of year to holiday in this part of the UK. The mad rush of July & August’s tourists has largely disappeared, the sea temperatures have benefitted from the warmth of the summer sun, and holiday prices are lower. If you fancy a super September break, you’re sure to enjoy all that this one has to offer.
You’ll stay in the harbour town of Ilfracombe with its picturesque sandy beaches, clear waters and resort attractions. This Devon seaside favourite sits amongst a magnificent coastline with Damien Hirst’s Verity statue contrasting with the quaint pastel houses along the seafront. Ilfracombe really has something for everyone with stunning beaches, an attractive historic harbour, the famous beach tunnels, alfresco drinking and dining opportunities, independent shops as well as a thriving art gallery scene. Make sure to take a boat trip from the harbour along the spectacular coast, go seal watching or even dolphin spotting.

You’ll stay at the Imperial Hotel, set in a prime location overlooking the beach and a short (almost) level walk to Ilfracombe’s shops & harbour. The hotel has a bar and dance-floor, dinners are 3-course, and breakfast is full English (bacon, sausage, eggs etc). There’s entertainment on most nights at the hotel, so you’ll not have to venture far for a bit of music and fun. You’ll have a day at leisure to discover the town at your own pace (don’t forget to do that boat trip!), as well as two fabulous included excursions to explore the Devon & Cornish coasts along with some of their most picturesque towns & villages. You’ll see lush rolling countryside, the wild beauty of Exmoor National Park and the area known as ‘Little Switzerland’, as well as taking the stunning Atlantic Highway into Cornwall with visits to the beach resort of Bude, cute Boscastle and historic Tintagel.

An ideal choice for:

  • Anyone looking for a wonderful break in early September for under £300
  • Lovers of Devon & Cornwall seaside towns & coastal scenery
  • Anyone wanting to see Boscastle & legendary Tintagel
