Hampton Court Palace Tulip Festival & Bowood in Springtime
Join us on this short weekend break to enjoy fabulous springtime events at two of the UK’s iconic and stunning historic venues.
Your first visit takes you to lovely Bowood House and Gardens, home to the Marquess and Marchioness of Lansdowne. You will have plenty of time to explore the 300 years of family history in the house and stroll around the stunning Capability Brown landscaped gardens, PLUS as an added highlight, enjoy a visit to the wonderful Woodland Gardens which only open for 6 weeks each year, showcasing an amazing array of azaleas, magnolias and rhododendrons.
After a relaxing overnight stay with breakfast included at our comfortable hotel, we then head to magnificent Hampton Court Palace on the River Thames. Built in 1520, it is England’s last and greatest medieval hall with its fine tapestries. And during our visit, be astonished as over 110,000 tulip bulbs erupt in colour in the UK’s biggest display of planted tulips. Relax in 60 acres of colourful royal gardens as you immerse yourself in Henry VIII’s famous grounds. With blooming periods subject to weather, the expert gardeners predict the displays will look their finest in mid-late April. Stroll through the courtyards and admire the blooming displays including historic and specialist varieties inspired by Mary II’s famous 17th century collection.
Join us on this fascinating trip and enjoy visits to two of England’s grandest and most beautiful of residences – what a blooming great weekend!
